Nominations for the highly anticipated 2025 Basadi in Music Awards officially close on 30 May 2025, and what a phenomenal response it has been!
As the awards enter their fourth year, excitement has reached new heights, with thousands of supporters, industry professionals, and creatives rallying to honor and celebrate the remarkable women shaping South Africa’s music and entertainment landscape.
This year’s nomination period, which runs from 12 to 30 May 2025, has seen a surge in engagement, highlighting the overwhelming support and enthusiasm for the Awards. With the inclusion of several new and inclusive categories—such as Manager of the Year, MakeUp Artist of the Year, Podcast Presenter of the Year, and Choreographer of the Year—Basadi in Music Awards continues to break boundaries and elevate women across all facets of the industry.
Speaking on the success of the nomination phase, Founder and CEO Hloni Modise Matau shared her gratitude and excitement:
